This last month for our family has been filled with so many wonderful things. It’s been busy, busy busy! But I feel so grateful for this life of mine.

First up was Paige’s Spring Concert of Dance at MPA. The theme was “America” and she had a dance entitled “Color Me America.” For those of you that know Paige, you know she loves to dance. It’s such fun to watch her perform, especially with her dearest friend, Caroline, by her side. She also had lots of support from our family. It was fun to have her cousins Audrey and Shaun here and my sister as well. And of course, Mimi and Pa and Madison..and Elliot 🙂

Audrey requested that I take her photos one evening so I definitely couldn’t miss this opportunity. Audrey has such a fun spirit and I loved spending some one on one time with her. She and Paige get along wonderfully, playing lots of American Girls, swimming at the pool and watching their favorite shows together.

Elliot played his saxophone in the Waunakee Memorial Day Parade. It was a beautiful tribute to those who have served from Waunakee. They named everyone from 1812 and on.

Miss Paige performed in her school play as the Fairy Godmother. She was adorable and full of personality. Her class did such a great job and it was fun to remember Elliot performing in the same play years ago.

And now for the biggest news for our family…NOAH GRADUATED from HIGH SCHOOL. So hard to believe. His dear friend, Eric, drove all the way from Minneapolis and surprised him which was such a gift. We had my parents, sister and my new nephew in town to celebrate as well.

People keep asking me if I am sad..and I keep saying “No.” I am just so proud of Noah and how far he has come in the past few years. I am so excited for him to experience college and grow into the amazing man I know he will. I definitely am going to miss him around here. He’s such a huge presence in our lives but I can’t help but feel incredibly happy and blessed when I look at him and know he is going to do such great things in life.

And I can’t end this blog post without sharing my most adorable nephew, Mason. He was FULL of smiles and had us all in love with him. Well, all of us except Chaz. 🙂 He may be the cutest baby I have ever seen and we just love him so much!

I am SO excited to share these photos from Makenzie’s Senior Rep Session. (I think after you see them you will see why!)  Mackenzie will graduate from Waunakee High School in 2017. She is a talented artist and photographer herself. We lucked out with some warmer weather a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with how these photos turned out. She has such a fun style and absolutely rocked her first session.

For 2017 graduating seniors interested in booking a session with me, please send me an email via my website or directly to I LOVE photographing high school seniors and customize your session to YOU. We can talk about fun locations, outfits, props..Your session will be as unique as you are!

You can also view my Senior Portrait Guide here. It will answer all of the questions you may have and fill you in on how I go about scheduling and conducting sessions for high school seniors.

I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Connie Leonard - She is truly beautiful. Great poses.

I feel like as my kids get older, the time we have together as a family unit..just the five of us (we were missing Chaz Masterson on this vacation!) is something I no longer take for granted.

We had the pleasure of traveling to Florida about three weeks ago for Spring Break. When we were considering going somewhere as a family and I found out the kids were actually off school for 11 days, I knew we needed to road trip to one of our favorite places on earth, Anna Maria Island, Florida.

We stayed in a beautiful condo that was steps from the ocean. Yes..we drove over 40 hours there and back and yes..its long and exhausting. But this was one of the best weeks of my life. We spent the week enjoying each other. We relaxed. We sat by the ocean. We enjoyed the pool. We played frisbee. We ate great food. We slept in. We watched sunsets. We ate lots of ice cream, We saw dolphins swim by us almost every day.  And I took over 2,000 photos of our time there. I am so grateful to have these images and excited to share some of my favorites with you.

With Noah going off to college this fall, this time was priceless. This trip made me realize how precious the time we have together is. And that my kids are pretty darn amazing.  Paige is the most positive person I have ever known. She loves everything and the most basic things excite her. She’s hilarious and doesn’t stop talking. Elliot is my comedian. He’s easy going and I know how much he values time with his brother. Noah has grown up so much. He’s ditched the somewhat teenage attitude and he’s so funny and I love being around him. Its crazy to think that he won’t be a part of my daily routine in a few short months. So that’s why this time honestly meant so much..

  • Megan Krueger - These are great, you are amazing but inside and out!

Olivia is a current senior graduating this June. I had such an amazing time at our session last fall but haven’t had the chance to share these on my blog until now. We conducted her entire session at Olbrich Gardnens. I couldn’t get over the variety this location had to offer. Olivia has such a fabulous style and she rocked her session!
